What you need to know
Our Almond & flax croquants combine two treats from the South-West: the golden almond and flaxseed from Béarn. Crunchy as they should be, barely sweet, they are snapped among friends over a coffee. The kibbled flaxseed brings a lovely hazelnut taste and an inimitable crunch, while the roasted almonds sign off a biscuit making rooted in its terroir. A recipe born in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, which we describe in our story.
A handmade croquant with almonds and flax from Béarn
The croquant is a traditional biscuit: a thin dough, filled with whole almonds and baked until golden and brittle. We have revisited it by adding the house signature, oilseed flaxseed grown and processed in the heart of Béarn. From grain to batch, this short supply chain guarantees fresh and traceable raw material. A standard recognised by the Médaille d’Or Best Of Gastronomie 2026, which honours the quality of the whole range, and championed by our ambassador chefs, who come up with new ways of cooking flax with us in our recipes notebook.
Flax, a gourmet signature
If we add flax to our croquants, it is first of all for pleasure: its toasted hazelnut flavour pairs naturally with almond and extends the crunch of the biscuit.
